Founder’s Story

Aloha,

I am Shawna Kaneshiro. My inspiration for starting Pilialoha Dating Services LLC came from many years of working with individuals and couples who struggled in their relationships. Often, those people were barely hanging on or had lost hope for a better future with their partners. Hearing about this heartache and pain I wanted to take a proactive approach to work with individuals before they enter a relationship to help ensure its success. 

I have over 9 years of experience working with individuals and couples; this experience and my training provide me with extensive, beneficial knowledge. I am dedicated to helping you find your match. One quality that makes me capable is my ability to listen and listen well. My approach differs for every client because their needs are unique. I take the time to attune myself to each client's needs and preferences. I am ready to hear your story, connect with you, and help you achieve your goals.

Overall, I am very passionate about helping others, which I attribute to my cultural background. I am Native Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, and Filipino; however, I resonate most with my Native Hawaiian background. I am all about the “Aloha Spirit”. I live my life with love, compassion, patience, peace, warmth, respect, and honesty toward others. I believe the “Aloha Spirit” is essential for relationships and interaction with others. I strive to bring the “Aloha Spirit” out in others so that healthy relationships and authenticity can be reached and maintained. 

When I am not a working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children. They keep me busy most of the time and bring so much joy to my life. I enjoy reading, running, catching up on my favorite shows, any outdoor activity, playing board games, listening to music and dancing, traveling, and most of all spending time with friends and family.
